Effective immediately, OneAmerica’s laboratory vendor now requires a blood specimen to complete the panel of tests full underwriting requires. Blood specimens will be required for adults age 35 and older on products issued and underwritten by State Life for face amounts of $0 to $99,999. This change will not impact the processing time for underwriting and only applies to full underwriting. Expedited underwriting is not affected.

In-Force Rate Adjustments Announced for Six States
Mutual of Omaha will be implementing in-force LTCI rate adjustments effective Dec. 1, 2022, in the states of Alabama, Massachusetts, Montana, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee. The state of Virginia requires a 75-day notification period to all policyholders, and the effective date for the increase will be Jan. 1, 2023.

OneAmerica has announced upcoming changes to its OneSource Online portal. Improvements to the user experience will begin Sept. 20, and multi-factor authentication (MFA) will be required starting Thursday, Oct. 6. OneAmerica recommends updating your password and account information before Oct. 6.

Rate Adjustments Coming for Hawaii, Michigan, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Montana
Mutual of Omaha is implementing adjusted rates for new and in-force business for the 2010 Modernized Medicare supplement in Hawaii, Michigan, and Oregon—effective Oct. 1, 2022. A 1990 Standardized Rate Adjustment will be effective on Nov. 1, 2022, for Montana, and on Dec. 1, 2022, for Montana.
