If your client is well into retirement, this product can provide an opportunity to reinvest their RMDs. Many senior clients don’t need their RMDs and would prefer to put those funds in a position to earn growth. A Flexible Premium Deferred Annuity allows them to deposit their annual RMDs into an annuity that earns a competitive rate of return.
While this product is not typically used in crisis Medicaid planning, it can be annuitized and begin making regular payments to the owner. A Flexible Premium Deferred Annuity can also be made into an irrevocable, non-assignable contract, ensuring it meets Medicaid’s strict regulations. This product is designed to empower its owner, not impede their planning options.
