Now that the holidays and Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) have come to an end, it’s a great time to evaluate your business offerings and ensure you have the information, training, and certification you need to achieve success in the world of Medicare. Plus, why not put together a tasty, yet easy, meal while you’re at it?

As you prepare your meal, take some time to review your business goals for the coming year.

Cranberry Roast Recipe

Prep: 5 minutes, Cook: 8 hours

  • 1 packet of onion soup mix
  • 1 can of cranberry sauce (jellied or whole)
  • 3-lb chuck roast
  • Cranberries (frozen or fresh) optional
  • Crockpot

Sprinkle part of the onion soup mix on the bottom of the crockpot. If using frozen or fresh cranberries, lay a portion of the berries on the bottom. Next, place the roast in the crockpot and sprinkle the remainder of the onion soup mix packet on top of the roast. Lastly, spoon the cranberry sauce on top of the roast and spread evenly. Cook for about 8 hours on low. There will be several cups of liquid from the roast, which makes great gravy or au jus. Mashed potatoes and green beans make great side dishes to complete this tasty meal.

While your roast is cooking, consider your business from this past year.

If you’re not already offering Medicare, did you have clients who asked you about Medicare products? If not, then it might not be the right time to get started. However, if you did, you should consider either finding a trusted advisor to refer your Medicare business or taking a leap to add it to your portfolio.
