Nursing and Residential Care Jobs Up 8,000 in June

Based on information provided by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment at nursing and residential care facilities increased by 8,000 jobs during the month of June. This was the fifth consecutive month of growth in care jobs.

While this is an encouraging trend for long-term care facilities, employment in this area is still below the pre-pandemic high point in July 2019. Also, assisted living, retirement communities, and skilled nursing facilities are experiencing slower employment upturns compared to other healthcare fields.
