Cuyahoga County, in Ohio, could see their senior population double in the next decade. Experts are urging family members to watch their elder family members to see if there are any signs of disease to catch them early or even to prevent them for a while longer. The hope is to help these elders to not only live longer but live healthier lives.

With the demand for long-term care only rising, if more people watch out for the seniors in their life, then the demand for this care may not be as critical as expected. A few things to help keep them healthy and safe would be removing throw rugs to reduce falls, make sure there is plenty of light and add grab bars in their bathroom.
